The North Bay Chamber Orchestra is dedicated to providing Tampa Bay’s young musicians with professional development opportunity by playing side-by-side with local freelancers in a setting designed to prepare them for the professional world of orchestral performance!

Collegiate Fellows
Limited to 10 participants per season.
The Orchestra’s Collegiate Fellow is open to undergraduate students from the Tampa Bay. Through an application, virtual audition, and interview, Fellows will not only join the orchestra in its large ensemble performance, but will have the opportunity to connect with the Tampa Bay community as part of smaller chamber ensembles. Fellows will receive stipends due to the generous sponsorship of [insert sponsor here] and will have the opportunity to connect with local school programs to gain important teaching experience.
Positions available for:
1st & 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello, & Double Bass
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, & French Horn
Fellows must be available for both Masterworks and relevant large chamber programs.
Student Scholars
Limited to 9 string participants per season.
Our Student Scholar program invites High School age students from Pasco County and select programs in northern Hillsborough & Pinellas counties to join the Orchestra. Through an application and virtual audition process, students will have the opportunity to learn experience first-hand what playing in a professional orchestra is like. Through the generous sponsorship of [insert sponsor name here], the Student Scholars will prepare professional repertoire with guidance by a professional musician as their stand partner, completely free of any participation fees.
Positions available for:
4 Violinists, 2 Violists, 2 Cellists, & 1 Bassist
Students must be available for both Masterworks programs.
